Removals to Austria – Frequently Asked Question

by MatthewMoving to Austria

What are the removal costs from the UK to Austria with MyCheapRemovals?

We calculate the costs of moving from the UK to Austria on the total volume of customer goods and the distance between collection and destination. If you plan on relocating a few household goods, you can use our part load service, which is 5 or 10 cubic meters. We also offer full loads (20 and 30 cubic meters) for those who are interested in moving home. Exemplary moving quotes from the UK to Austria look as follows.

  1. Removals from London to Vienna:
    1. Small removals – 5 cubic meters: £979, 10 cubic meters: £1199
    2. Large removals – 15m3 – £1879, 20m3 – £2639 and 30  cubic meters – £3279
  2. From Manchester to Graz:
    1. Small removals – 5 cubic meters and 10 cubic meters – £1079 and £1339 accordingly,
    2. Large removals – 15,20 and 30 cubic meters – £2119, £2979 and £3619

Keep in mind – if you decide to use our removal to Austria service, we’ll ask for only 10% of the deposit … and we can still discount it 😉

How long does it take for my belongings to arrive in Austria?

Usually, the delivery from the UK to Austria takes two or three days. However, every move is different, so the duration depends on various factors. Long-distance moves will always take longer than local moves. Also, home moving (full load options) will take less time than small removals, as it does not require additional stops. Your preparation is important as well – if you pack your belongings professionally, it will take less time for our polite driver to load them. Remember that you can always count on the driver – he will help you load and unload the goods. However, if the collection or delivery takes place in the self-storage, make sure you arrange for somebody to assist our driver.

What are the living costs in Austria in comparison to the UK?

The cost of living in Austria is generally higher than that of the UK due to the country’s small size and reliance on imported goods. Housing, utilities, and transportation can be relatively expensive, while food and leisure activities are generally affordable. Debit/credit cards and cash are the most common forms of payment, and the Euro is widely accepted. As with any country, the cost of living in Austria can vary widely depending on individual circumstances and lifestyle choices. However, for those looking for a rich cultural experience and a high standard of living, Austria can be an attractive option.

Can I move to Austria with my pet?

Yes, you can take your pet with you when you move to Austria from the UK. Among the main arrangements, we can indicate making official health certificates for your pet, choosing the right airline, understanding Austria’s rules and regulations regarding transporting pets and choosing the most convenient and safe kennel.

Please bear in mind about few important things:

  • up-to-date vaccination records against rabies (you must wait 21 days from the date of the rabies vaccination before travelling),
  • up-to-date veterinary health certificates, (clinical examination, deworming) taking into account the regulations of the country of departure, the country of destination, and any transit airports,
  • special passport (issued by a vet) with a description of the colour, race, and sex of the animal together with a microchip number or tattoo,
