About the inventory list

The Inventory List is a mandatory document required for your international removal service. As outlined in our Terms & Conditions (Section 3), you must complete this form with a detailed list of all goods being transported and submit it to us at least ONE DAY BEFORE your collection date. This document serves two critical purposes: it provides the basis for your Goods in Transit Insurance coverage (up to £20,000 per van as standard), and ensures we can accommodate your load properly. Please note: Insurance claims cannot be considered without a completed inventory list. Taking a few minutes to fill this out accurately will protect your belongings and help us provide you with the best possible service.

IMPORTANT: How to Complete This Form

Please follow these instructions carefully to ensure your inventory is accurate and complete.

⚠️ CRITICAL: Dimensions MUST Be in METRES

This is the most common mistake!

✅ CORRECT Format:

• If your box is 60 cm wide → Enter 0.6 (60 ÷ 100 = 0.6 metres)
• If your box is 120 cm long → Enter 1.2 (120 ÷ 100 = 1.2 metres)
• If your box is 45 cm high → Enter 0.45 (45 ÷ 100 = 0.45 metres)

❌ WRONG Format:

• Do NOT enter 60 for a 60cm box (this would be calculated as 60 metres!)

Quick Conversion Reference:

Formula: Centimetres ÷ 100 = Metres

How to Fill Out Each Column

1. No (Column A)

• Pre-numbered rows (1-49)
• Do not change these numbers

2. How many? (Column B)

• Enter the quantity of identical items
• Example: If you have 5 identical boxes, enter 5

3. Item (Column C)

• Briefly describe the item
• Examples: “Box”, “Sofa”, “Wardrobe”, “Table”, “Mattress”

4. Size in metres (Columns D, E, F)

• Height (Column D): Vertical measurement in metres
• Width (Column E): Side-to-side measurement in metres
• Depth (Column F): Front-to-back measurement in metres
• Remember: Convert cm to metres by dividing by 100!

5. m³ (Column G) – AUTOMATIC

• Do not enter anything here
• This calculates automatically: Quantity × Height × Width × Depth
• If this shows 0.00, you’re missing dimension data

6. Weight KG (Column H)

• Enter estimated weight in kilograms
• Be as accurate as possible for insurance purposes

7. Description/Contents (Column I)

• List what’s inside the boxes
• Be specific for insurance: “Kitchen items – plates, glasses, pans”
• For furniture, note condition: “Oak dining table, good condition”

8. Value £ (Column J)

• Enter the replacement value in British Pounds
• This is crucial for insurance claims

Example Entry

Here’s a correct example for 3 medium moving boxes:

Explanation:

• 3 boxes, each 50cm × 40cm × 40cm (entered as 0.5 × 0.4 × 0.4 metres)
• Total volume automatically calculated: 3 × 0.5 × 0.4 × 0.4 = 0.24 m³
• Total weight: 15 kg across all 3 boxes
• Combined value: £150

Bottom Section – Customer Information

Please complete:

• Customer Name
• UK Address (full address)
• Post code
• Date (use the d/m/y format provided)
• Signature

Totals Section

The Total row automatically calculates:

• Total m³: Sum of all volumes
• Total Weight: Sum of all weights
• Total Value: Sum of all declared values

These totals update automatically as you fill in the form.

Before Submitting

Checklist:

• ✓ All dimensions are in METRES (not centimetres)
• ✓ All items are listed with accurate dimensions
• ✓ Weights are estimated for all items
• ✓ Values are declared for insurance
• ✓ Customer information section is complete
• ✓ Document is signed and dated
• ✓ Check the total m³ looks reasonable (not 100x too large!)

Deadline: At least 2 days before the collection date. If the collection of your goods is set for Saturday or Sunday, we require a completed inventory list by Thursday.
